November Events in the Pocono Mountains

November is best known for Thanksgiving, a month of giving thanks and remembering our Veterans! The fall beauty of the Poconos continues to shine in November. The leaves begin to fall, the lakes begin to freeze, and there is always a chance to catch the first snowfall of the season. There are many things to do in November in the Poconos. Outside of the normal adventure seeking activities, or getting back in touch with Nature, the Pocono Mountains host many special events in the month of November. Here is what is on our list.

With the cooler weather moving in, it brings the excuse to want to stay inside and what better way to do so than to take a train ride through the beautiful Poconos. There are several different train ride options; One being the Santa Christmas Tree Express: Take a ride in a warm train car up to a Christmas tree farm where you can visit Santa, drink hot chocolate, and pick out your own tree, watch it get loaded onto a flatbed car and then pick it up back at the train station where it will be loaded on to your car to take home! Every weekend in November starting on the 25th going through Christmas. (approximately 1 hour and 11 min drive from our Vacation Rentals). If the colder weather makes you really want to stay inside, checkout our list of top things to do in the Pocono Mountains on rainy days

Looking for something a little different? Head to Camelback Mountain to help Summon ULLR, the Norse God of Snow. The ULLR Fest is a festival for the snow sports to usher in a snow filled winter. Enjoy food and beverages, various vendors, ice carvings, fireworks, ski decorating and much more! To close out the celebration a bonfire will be lit to win the good favor of ULLR to ensure a snow filled season! This event is held November 12, 2022 4:00-10:00 pm.  (approximately 30 min drive from our Vacation Rentals)

Another warm adventure is Lights at the Lake, a drive-through holiday light show at Mauch Chunk Lake Park in Jim Thorpe. Enjoy a dazzling collection of holiday lights while in the comfort of your own vehicle. The light show is available November 18th,19th, 20th, 26th, 27th, December 1-4th, 8th-11th, 16th-18th and December 23rd. (approximately 25 min drive from our Vacation Rentals)

Catch the Christmas Tree lighting in Stroudsburg on November 25th from 5:30-7:30. There will be fun activities, live music, refreshments, and a visit from Santa. Santa arrives on a firetruck after the tree gets lit around 6:20 - stick around for free pictures with Santa in front of the tree! (approximately 30 min drive from our Vacation Rentals)
